Wine, Women & Shoes is an annual event to benefit the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Northeast Ohio. Due to COVID restrictions this in-person event was translated into an online event featuring an online auction, raffles, and more. Guests were encouraged to have their own small in-home gatherings with the option to purchase a host kit.

Linear Creative was tasked with producing the 30-minute virtual event, to be livestreamed for attendees watching from home. The event schedule included both pre-recorded media and live footage which required Linear Creative to develop a solution to fit both scope and budget. Our proposed solution utilized open-source livestreaming software and used RMHCNEO’s YouTube channel to host the livestream. 

We shot and edited 5 separate pre-recorded videos, edited multiple videos from client/sponsor-provided graphics, and ran the livestream broadcast on the night of the event. Each segment also needed to follow the annual event’s branded look.  The event was successfully livestreamed on multiple platforms including the website of Cleveland’s WKYC. 

Overall, the event was a success, and the livestream was smooth without any issues, helping RMHCNEO to raise over $130,000. As an additional bonus many viewer comments on YouTube expressed a positive response to the event and complimented the style and quality of the segments.
